8 months later, Tea thinks "Oh, it's been a while since I posted anything on deviant art, I'll just drop by and update some stuff... HOLY WHUT 8 MONTHS ???"

I haven't been drawing anything for a while, actually. I finally graduated from social worker school last summer (yay me !) and am still jobless because I am stubborn and would rather work with people than with piles of papers haha .

Anyway, [ a christmas break with the family + a ~neiba's drawing demo ] combo = renewed interest in drawing. Aaaand, maybe going to see the AstroBoy movie had something to do with it too.
As a result, I've been scribbling away AstroBoy yaoi fanarts anatomy-learning exercises in a desperate attempt to IMPROVE a bit

So, maybe you'll see something new here soon. Or maybe I'll forget all about it and babble some more in 6 months hahahaha

I'm beginning to believe that I'll never be able to be active on dA longer than a few days... This is getting frustrating

I'm still in the midst of exams/exam preparations but things are getting a bit less crazy for now, yay !

1) Though I'm french, I tend to speak english to myself when I'm alone.

2) I know French Sign Language.

3) I always have to know how to fix stuff that doesn't work (applies to my computer, mostly) and won't give up until said stuff works again, or until I went through all the options !!! I'm not stubborn, I prefer to call it dedication !

4) I'm always smiling and/or laughing unless I'm concentrating or in physical/moral pain of course. Some people think it's weird

5) People with no sense of humor scare me (I can't connect !!!)

6) Spiders scare me too !

7) I was an only child till I was three years old... then my little sister was born, my parents adopted my older brother and things got a LOT MORE complicated !

8) Each time I try to draw something dark, angsty, violent, you name it, it ends up cute. WHYS ?

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who replied to my precedent entry, it was really great to read about your experiences I intended to reply to each message, but in the end I didn't have anything interesting to say (I'm hopeless)... Anyway I read all of them several times and enjoyed it very much, so once again thank you !

I realize only now that it's been over one month since I uploaded anything here I have something like 200 deviations to look through to, I'll get to it during the next couple of days .

Life has been pretty good at rubbing my face in old failures lately and I'm discovering the joys of insomnia (and I thought I was weird before ).
Things are still great otherwise as I meet more interesting, talented, smart, motivated people every day, most of them on e-kaki. It never ceases to amaze me how people can be so kind sometimes, it really cheers me up .

My life has been pretty NOT boring lately (meaning, lotsa work ) and I'm not complaining . Still, it leaves little time for drawing, alas !

So yesterday I decided to spend one hour drawing it felt good ! And after half the hour, there I was, doodling stuff and ended up with really curvy, soft lines (I know I already do a lot of these, but bear with me okay ) and realized "Hey, I'm really enjoying myself !... Come to think of it, that's what I enjoyed the most about drawing in the beginning ! HOW COULD I FORGET THAT ???"

I was so caught up with trying to draw more like this and that, and ohmygod this artist is so cool, I want to draw like that too, that I ended up never being happy with what I drew. I kinda forgot why I enjoyed drawing, and what I enjoyed drawing.
So sure, my technique improved a lot (and I'm still glad about that ) but along the way I lost some of my inspiration and motivation.

So I'm really happy now because it feels like, you know, finding your first love again (kinda ).

Now comes the fun part : WHAT ABOUT YOU ?
What do you enjoy most in drawing/painting/whatever you do ?
Did you ever had that experience when you re-discover your passion for something - or someone (like, "wow, I totally forgot why I like this person, what is so great about them") ?
